Woman suffers stroke while taking Yaz, files lawsuit against Bayer | Ohio Yaz bloot clot injury lawyer
Another Yaz birth control injury lawsuit has been filed in California after a 39-year-old woman suffered a stroke while taking Yaz birth control, according to Law.com.The woman was only taking Yaz birth control for one month before she suffered the stroke. The lawsuit, which was filed against Bayer, the maker of Yaz birth control, was filed in federal court on Monday. The lawsuit alleges that Bayer aggressively promoted Yaz birth control, and was deceiving to consumers on the risks that can arise from a new version of dropsirenone, which is a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone.
There are also emerging medical links to support these claims, as cited in two recent articles by BMJ, a British Medical Journal.
