One of our clients is a 23-year-old young woman from Ohio who was originally given Yaz birth control on September 1, 2008. On October 21, 2008 she went to the local hospital complaining of chest pains, and was given a chest x-ray and discharged.

On October 23, 2008 she was then admitted to the hospital where she spent five days being treated for a blood clot in her lower lung. She was given heprin and the blood thinner coumadin.

Since she is pregnant, the young woman is required to receive lovenox injections.
